Internship Opportunities
The Latin American Cancer Research Coalition (LACRC) at Georgetown University is offering a six-week summer paid internship program for undergraduate and graduate students. This is an excellent opportunity for bilingual (English/Spanish) students to gain hands-on experience this internship, the students will work with community health clinics that serve Latinos in developing a program to promote cancer prevention and early detection by using the skills acquired during a Social Marketing course, offered to the interns.
This full time internship program will start June 12th and will end July 28th. Interns will have the opportunity to work with cancer prevention researchers and physicians from Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center.
Qualifications for the Internship:
- To be bilingual (English/Spanish)
- To have an interest in health issues particularly regarding cancer prevention.
- To have an avid interest in helping the recent Latino immigrant community in the D.C. area.
