Abercrombie & Fitch has partnered with LOFT (Latinos on Fast Track) to diversify their workforce through their MIT (Manager in Training) Program. It is a comprehensive 90-day plan focused on immersing the trainee in all aspects of running a store. Training is structured in two-week implements. Each period the trainee will shadow a different member of the management team providing exposure to men's and women's merchandising, campus recruiting, scheduling, and basic principles of management.
The general manager will conduct weekly performance assessments. Ideally, progression from this position to store manager should be within 6-8 months after which trainees are evaluated and tested for possible home office opportunities.
